Description

The Fleming 65 was introduced in mid 2005 in response to strong demand as an intermediate Fleming model between the 55 and the 75. It offers much more interior and deck space than the smaller Fleming 55 while retaining a similar layout concept. The first hull, named Venture, has been extensively cruised and tested by Tony Fleming himself, covering over 60,000 miles in various waters including the West Coast of North America, Galapagos, Panama Canal, and more, providing valuable feedback for design improvements incorporated in production models.

The Fleming 65 has earned acclaim, being voted the best yacht in her class worldwide for 2006 by a panel of thirteen judges from Yachts magazine. Built at the reputable Tung Hwa yard in Taiwan, the 65 boasts robust construction and luxurious features.

Foredeck: Features a large and robust anchor platform designed for heavy duty ground tackle including two 132 lbs Ultra anchors with wireless windlass control and two Maxwell RC12 vertical windlasses. Storage lockers, washdown bibs, shore power inlets, and a large chain locker accessible via hatch are standard. Safety features include teak caprails and stainless steel handrails, and protection by a Portuguese Bridge with deck level LED lighting and storage lockers.

Side Decks: Wide for safe movement, with heavy duty stainless steel handrails and four boarding gates opening inboard for convenience and safety.

Aft Deck and Swim Platform: Large cockpit with teak decking, optional dining table seating 8, freshwater shower, saltwater washdown, optional engine/thruster controls, and warping winches. Two 50-amp CableMaster power cords are available. Engine room air intakes are located to prevent salt spray.

Flybridge: Accessed via stairway from pilothouse, features an upper helm with Stidd double helm seat, U-shaped settee with dining table for 6, and options like freezer, BBQ grills, wet bar, icemaker, refrigerator, extra seating and hardtop with enclosure. The boat deck supports a 16-foot inflatable tender with hydraulic davit, freshwater bib, and power outlet.

Main Salon & Galley: Spacious and customizable with dining and lounge areas, synthetic leather headliner, TV lift, wooden blinds, and LED lighting. The galley includes a large refrigerator/freezer, dish cabinet, pantry, granite countertops, stainless steel double sink, instant hot water, waste disposal, microwave, and induction cooktop, with optional dishwasher space.

Accommodations: Various layouts mostly featuring 3 staterooms with central passageway 4 steps down from salon. Options include full beam master cabin and multiple guest stateroom configurations, washer/dryer, supply closet, and laundry hamper. Finished in teak and synthetic leather headliner.

Engine Room: Accessible through external hatch, featuring twin MAN i6-800 hp diesel engines standard, with optional MAN V8-1000 hp engines. Facilities include Aquadrive system for vibration reduction, full-length polished stainless steel mounts, dual generators, fuel management system, engine room air conditioning option, and excellent maintenance accessibility.

Lazarette: Houses water tanks, steering gear, air conditioning compressors, and ample gear storage with multiple access hatches and freshwater pumps.

Pilothouse: Central nerve center with teak door separation, optional wet-head with shower, seating, chart storage, electronics space, excellent visibility, teak sole, and stainless steel/teak destroyer wheel.
