Description

The Fleming 55 is a well-proven raised pilothouse motoryacht designed for serious cruising. Her semi-displacement hull provides great flexibility in performance, with a range of 2,000 nautical miles at 8 knots and a top speed of approximately 18 knots. Typical sustained cruising speed is around 17 knots, and economical cruising speed is about 10 knots.

The yacht features a deep keel for stability and protection of running gear, and is known for its whisper-quiet, ultra-smooth ride thanks to Aquadrive anti-vibration systems. The Fleming 55 was first introduced in 1986 and has been continuously improved over the years while maintaining its legendary hull design and integrating modern technologies and materials.

Foredeck and Forepeak: Equipped with twin Maxwell RC12 windlasses, capable of handling two 77 lb Ultra anchors, with salt and fresh water hose bibs and deck lockers. Featuring a flared bow and Portuguese bridge with seating, storage, and child-safe locking doors.

Aft Deck and Swim Platform: The large aft deck (about 250 sq ft) extends the salon and includes a teak cap rail with mood lighting, shower fittings, stainless steel handrails, and a swim ladder. Access to the upper boat deck and lazarette is provided by ladders and lockable hatches respectively. Optional cockpit engine controls and ice maker available.

Flying Bridge: Spacious low-profile design with double helm seat, comprehensive instrumentation, protected internal companionway to pilothouse, seating for eight, a fiberglass table, pass-thru dumbwaiter, tender boat deck with hydraulic davit, and radar arch with optional hardtop.

Main Salon and Galley: Features comfortable L-settee, teak and holly sole, hi-lo table, entertainment cabinet, bar with icemaker, and a galley with Corian or granite countertops and high-end appliances.

Accommodations: Central passageway access to cabins, master cabin with tapered queen berth and en suite head with Corian/marble/granite countertops, guest cabins with flexible berth configurations, LED lighting, and teak and holly soles throughout.

Engine Room: Designed for easy accessibility, featuring the Aquadrive system for noise and vibration reduction, extensive sound insulation, fiberglass fuel tanks, and twin Cummins QSC 8.3 500 hp engines with Twin Disc transmissions and Glendinning controls.

Lazarette: Houses water tanks, battery switches, inverter, air conditioning compressors, steering system, and storage space with convenient engine room access.

Pilothouse: A dedicated helm station resembling a larger vessel's bridge with removable electronics consoles, chart area, and comfortable seating for the watch-keeper and guests.

Construction Standards: Built to comply with USA NMMA, European CE-RCD Category "A" Ocean Standard, Australian and Canadian maritime standards. Managed under ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 standards.

The Fleming 55 prioritizes safety, convenience, and quality, featuring numerous refinements that enhance cruising experience.
